Enquiries and legal services
The contact form asks for your name, email, topic and message. We use them to answer your enquiry and, where requested, take steps towards providing legal services. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract or performing a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For enquiries made on behalf of a company or concerning other people, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding and providing legal services (Article 6(1)(f)). The privacy acknowledgement in the form confirms that you have read this notice; it is not consent to advertising.
The form has no file-upload field. Include only information necessary for your initial enquiry. We use Resend to deliver your message to Magilex’s email account. The website database does not store the text of your enquiry. Messages remain in our correspondence for as long as needed to answer you, manage any subsequent client relationship and establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Legal-service records are subject to the applicable service terms and statutory retention obligations.
Sample downloads and newsletter
When you request a sample, we use your email address, optional first name, selected resource and language to send the requested file links through Resend. Website request records, including an email hash and the newsletter choice, expire after 30 days and are removed when the next sample request is processed.
Newsletter signup is a separate optional choice and is not required to receive a sample. New subscribers confirm their address through Mailchimp. Newsletter contact details and subscription information remain in Mailchimp until unsubscribe or deletion; an unsubscribed address may be retained to prevent further sending. Resend and Mailchimp may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. See the providers’ data protection information: Resend, Mailchimp / Intuit.
Website operation and security
The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers process technical connection information such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and time to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in a working and secure website (Article 6(1)(f)). Our form rate limits use short-lived hashes rather than storing the raw IP address in the website database. Private preview and administration require ChatGPT sign-in, which is handled by OpenAI; ordinary visitors to the public website do not need a ChatGPT account.
Analytics and advertising
With your prior consent, Google Analytics measures visits and Google Ads and Meta Pixel measure advertising and supports remarketing on Facebook and Instagram (Article 6(1)(a)). These services can process browser and device information, identifiers, IP address and visited pages. Meta may associate visits with a Meta account. We do not send contact-form messages, names or email addresses as tracking events. Google advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled in our Analytics integration. Analytics and marketing are separate choices, both off by default. Neither is required to use the website, contact us or receive a sample.
You can withdraw consent at any time using in the footer. Withdrawal stops subsequent tracking; it does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful or automatically erase data already received by providers. See the cookie policy for browser storage and its duration.
Service providers and international transfers
We use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting and access control, Resend for delivering requested emails, Mailchimp / Intuit for the optional newsletter, Google for consent-based analytics, and Google Ads and Meta for consent-based marketing. Our email account is provided through Google Workspace. Access within Magilex is limited to people who need the information for their work. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect legal claims.
Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. An EU sending region does not guarantee that all associated data remain in the EU. Depending on the provider and service, transfers rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You may ask us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

Your rights
Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. Contact info@magilex.ee. We normally respond within one month; where permitted, we may extend this by up to two further months and explain why. We may request proportionate additional information to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or another competent supervisory authority. We do not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Changes
We update this notice when website processing changes. If the purposes of optional tracking materially change, we request a new cookie choice.
